Hello friends,

Today is the first day of a week of vacation. We are going to the Hocking Hills to hike, spend time in nature, and hang out with family. I’m particularly excited about the hot tub.

I grew up in the Hocking Hills, in Athens, Ohio, so in some ways it will be like returning home. I’m looking forward to visiting the parks I remember.

A lot of my travels have been back to places where we have family. As a small child, I flew to Germany with my parents many summers. I’ve only had a few vacations where I was there to experience a new place.
